C. & seyde S.P.D.] , Saule, broþer, oure Lorde Ihesus þat appered to þe in þo waye þat þow kome, sende me vnto [to S.P.D.] þe, þat þou haue þi syghte, ande be fulfilled of þo Holy Goste. [verse 18] Ande alssone [a noon S.P.D.] þer felle fro his eyghne [cynghne C.] slyme as hit wore þo [om. S.P.D.] skales of a fische; & so he [om. S.P.D.] receyued his sighte, [verse 19] ande ros vppe, ande was baptized; ande he was gretelyche comforþed [C folio 34b] [he omitted after whanne P.] whanne he hade taken mete. Ande þan soþely a fewe days he dwelled at Damaske wiþ þo disciples. [verse 20] Ande anone Poule ȝode into þo synagoges, ande preched Iesu þat he es verray Goddes sone. [verse 21] Ande alle þei wore ameruelde soþely þat hym harde, ande sayden, Ne was noghte he [om. S.P.D.] þis he þat in Ierusalem wiþstode hem þat wore þis name oknowe [a knowe S.P.D.] ? ande þerto he kome hider to lede hem bownden vnto [to S.P.] þo princes of 9þo lawe þat ben prynces of9 [9-9 om. S.P.D.] prestes. [verse 22] Ande Poule myche þo [om. S.P.D.] more he encresched, ande confunded þo Iewes þat dwelden atte Damaske, wele affermande þat he was Criste. [verse 23] Ande whanne he hade þer many days fulfilled, [verse 24] þo Iewes token cownseyl hym forto [S folio 102] slee: ande soþely þer deceytes wore tolde vnto [to S.P.] Poule. Ande þei kepped þo ȝates boþe daye ande nyghte of þo cyte, to wayte hym forto slee; [verse 25] ande þo disciples token hym bi nyghte, ande leten hym downe bi þo walle in a bere-lepe. [verse 26] & soþely whanne he vnto [to S.P.] Ieru|salem kome, he drowe hym towarde þo discipuls; ande alle þei wore of hym aferde, noghte knowande how he was Goddes discipul.
