fformest was sire Gogmagog, He was most, þat foule froge; Þey faught wyþ trees þat þey vp drowe,— Y can nought seye whilk þey slow,— Line 1784 Oþer wepen had þey non, Bot smyten wiþ tres or casten [kast with.] ston. When þey had fought, & went to fle, In to þe hilles a-gayn to be, Line 1788 Þan [are.] were þe Troiens þeym bifore, & gaf þem woundes depe & sore, & slowe þem þe moste part Wiþ spere & bowe, swerd & [with bowe with spere & with.] dart. Line 1792 Gogmagog, þe Troiens tok; [toke.] þan saide Brutus 'þat þey schold lok [brutus sayd þat þei suld loke.] ' Wheþer he wer strenger, or Cornyus.' [Corineus.] A place to pleye, ordeyned Brutus,— Line 1796 Corineus was wel of þat graunt [wele o grante.] [Petyt folio 11b:2] ffor to wrastle wyþ þat geaunt; On a clyf faste [felde fast.] by þe se Þe wrastlyng was ordeyned [set.] to be; Line 1800 Alle þey ȝede, ȝonge & elde, Þat wrastlyng to byhelde.

Coryneus first vp he stirt, [first.] & wyþ a cloþ his body gyrt; Line 1804 Strait in þe flank dide hym lace, & com & stod forth y [He com & stode forth in.] þe place.
