Line 4568 Whan sire Cesar, [Iulius.] [Petyt folio 28a:1] lord & sire, Had pesed & swaged al þer ire, He conseilled hym wyþ an engynour, & dide hym make a merueyllous tour Line 4572 In Boloygne: "Ordre" ys þe name. So wrought ys non bot þat same; By-neþen hit is in strange compas; Brod & þykke þe gynnynge was, Line 4576 & euere hit nareweþ [nerewes.] rysande on heyght, & semeþ griller [grelere (rougher, sharper).] & more streight. Selcouþe stages ar þer-ynne, Wyndowes cast, coruen wiþ gynne. Line 4580 His tresor he leyde þer inne to lok, Onlyke þer al þat he toke; & hym self lay in þe tour, When he dred hym of [for [de traïson, Wace].] his tresour. Line 4584 Two ȝer he dwelled þer in ffraunce, & dight hit for werre in alle [dighted it for were o.] chaunce; He sente to baillifs to gadere hym [his.] fees, & reisede his truwage of his citees. Line 4588 Whan al was gadered on ylk party, In Ordre þey leide hit in tresory. In two ȝer he dide hym dight, & made hym to Brutayne right, [vppon þe bretons eftsons to fight.] Line 4592 & dide hym dighte a fflute on flode, Sex hundred gret schipes & gode, [schipes grete & gode.] & seide, "ȝit wyly make [will mak.] assay
