Þere oure lorde spak wiþ hym; & hete hym good lyf lede, And wende aȝein to israel; & noþing ne drede. Line 168 "// A Man þat hatte Elisee; by þe waie þou schalt fynde; Þou schalt hym take forþ wiþ þe; þat he ne leue bihynde." Elie þe prophete went forþ; til he in-to desert cam. Line 171 He fonde Elyse gon on þe pleyn; with hym forþ he hym nam To þe londe of israel [MS. isrk.] ; þai nadden of þe kyng non eye. Elise fonde anoþer prophete; & þider þai wenten beie. Þo lay þe kyng sore seek; & þo it was hym ysed, Elye tolde his messagers; þat he schulde be ded. Line 176 He hete his men wende after hym; þat þai sparen ne scholde; He wende, ȝif he miȝth hym haue hadd; þat he hym hele wolde. Þei wenten forþ & comen to Elye; "goddes man" þai seide: "Þe kyng hete þe come & speke with hym; ȝif þou couþest hym rede." Line 180 Elie seide "ȝif ich am goddes man; I. bid god al-one, Þat wilde fire come fram heuen adoun; & brenne ȝou vchone."
