                                  ¶ Þo was þe king neiȝh out of witte : an Ouene he liet hete,
                                
                                  Þat heo was al glowinde fuyr : are huy wolden lete :
                                
                                  Þene holie Man huy nomen anon : and a-midde þe Ouene him caste.
                                
                                  And þo he was þare-inne i-do : þat fuyr no leng ne laste,

                                  Ake it bi-gan to quienche a-non : þat so gret hete er of drovȝ;
                                
                                  Þe holie Man þare-inne was : in Ioye and Muruþe i-novȝ.
