[6-text p 675] seint Austine. þat suche schamefast folke bien next for-ȝeuenesse & remission [988] ¶ þat oþere signe is humilite of confessione; of whiche seiþe seint Petre. Vmbleþ ȝow vnder þe miht of of god; ¶ þe honde of god is myhti in confession; For þereby god fo[r]ȝeueþ þe sinnes; for he alon haþ þe powere; [989] & þis humylite schal be in herte & in signe outewarde; For riht as he haþ humylite to god in his herte.
