[smerteþ sumdel : hem lusteþ nouȝt to.] þat hei þat god was on ileid, . as þe bok vs tolde, Sein elene bar seþþe to rome, . vor relik to holde. [seynt eleyne hit bar suþ . noble relyk.] Boþe þe asse and þe oxe, . þo me oure lord to hem brouȝte, [þe oxe & þe asse. men . to fehlt.] 605 Aȝein him kneleden boþe . and honoureden him þat hem wrouȝte.
