Line 150 þo he wes after ysent, þo he tolde hem: al yshent [hem, ms. him. — al yshent ist mit "ha ben an hon" zu verbinden.] He wende forte ha ben an hon, oþer o worse deþ ydon. He com byfore þe abbot: Line 155 " 'Maryn, þuncheþ þe god such penaunce forte dreye [forte dreye: dass du erduldet hast.] for eny cunnes foleye?' " "iesu, ȝef þi wille be, y preye þat þou forȝeue me Line 160 þat ich habbe misdon aȝeynes þe; Merci y crie, par charite!" ant þah hire herte wes ful lyht, [hire, ms. his.] þat heuede be so ydyht, ["so war das doch so eingerichtet worden", so sah das doch so aus.] þourh penaunce þer forte ligge; [forte ligge: als ob sie aus Reue dort läge.] Line 165 þe ioie of hyre ne may mon sugge.
