Raptus spiritualis. Rapitur aliquando anima extra se.

Iacobus de Vetriaco says; "I saw som tyme devote wommen̛, þat was so hugelie ravissid̛ with thoght of holy liffyng, þat of aƚƚ þe day þer was no witt in þaim vnto none oute-ward thyng bod was evyn̛ as þai had bene on̛ slepe. And þai myght not be wakynd with no maner of criyng, nor þai myght fele nothyng sore and þai had bene nevur so prykkid̛." And he says he saw a noder womman̛ nerehand̛ of xxx^ti yere old̛, and sho was kepyd with so grete luff be hur spowse in þe clostre, at sho mot be no ways go furtℏ þeroff. And neuer so many men̛ had drawen̛ hur be þe hand̛, ffor oft tymys sho was enforcid̛ to be drawen̛ oute, bod it was in vayn̛ bod if þai wuld̛ hafe rugid̛ hur in sonder. Also he says þat he had sene a noder womman̛ þat som tyme xx^ti sythes on̛ þe day was besyde hur selfe, whilk þat in his presence opon̛ a day was

vij sithes ravysshid̛. And in what state som̛ evur sho was ravissid̛ sho abade in þat astate vnto sho was turnyd̛ owte of hur ravisshyng. And hur handis hand vp̛ in þe ayre vnmouable after þe disposicion̛ at sho was ravisshid in, at sho was garte shew a bodely ioying. et c̛.
