Amor Castus in omnibus est laudandus.

We rede in 'Vita Beati Lupi' how he had in his howse a holie virgyn̛ þat was his predecessur doghter, & he luffid̛ hur passandli wele, and his howsold̛ bakbate hym̛ þerfor̛. So on̛ a tyme, befor̛ þaim aƚƚ, he tuke hur abowte þe nekk̘ & kyssid̛ hur, & said̛ vnto þaim on̛ þis maner of wise; "Other mens wurdis saƚƚ neuer noy a man̛, how þat evur þai say, whome þat his consciens fylis noght." For he luffid God aboue al thyng, and so wiste he wele þat sho did̛; and þerfor̛ he luffid̛ hur with a meke mynde.
