We rede in 'Vitis Patrum' off ane þat hight Arsenius, þat was a passand grete laburer with his handis, when̛ he was in wyldernes he wolde nevur skyfte his clothis bod ons in a yere, to so mekuƚƚ þat when̛ he doffid̛ þaim þai stynkid̛. And þan̛ he wolde say vnto hym̛ selfe; "For þe vntement and gude savurs þat I hafe felid̛ in þe werld̛, þerfor̛ it is necessarie to me to fele þis stynke."
