Iacobus de Vetriaco tellis at þe devuƚƚ wrate in a
kurk̘ aƚƚ maner ydul wurdis þat was wretten̛
þer [Lat. MSS. verba ociosa que ibi dicebantur.] , and when̛ he had not
parchement enogℏ to write on̛ he drew it oute with his tethe
& his handis, & he drew so faste at he rappid̛ his
head̛ agayn̛ þe waƚƚ. And þer was a holie
man̛ at saw hym̛, and he askid̛ hym̛ what he
did̛, and he tolde hym̛ aƚƚ þat is befor̛
said̛.
