We rede in 'Cronicles' how þat Herode, when̛ he

myrtℏ agayn̛ he sulde dye, he garte gadur samen aƚƚ
þe noble yong men̛ of Iudee, & garte spar þaim in
a prison̛, & commandid̛ vnto Salome his wyfe þat
