Saynt Gregur tellis how on̛ a tyme þer was a ship̛-man̛, & hym̛ happend be perisshid be þe see. And he had a gude frend̛, a preste, þat said̛ a mes for hym̛ & offred̛ þe sacrament for hym̛. And as þis preste was at þe sacryng of his mes, þis man̛ come al hole furthe of þe see, and come vnto þis preste and tolde hym̛ þat when̛ he was in þe se and alsmoste defaylid̛, sodanlie þer come one vnto hym̛ & broght hym̛ a lafe. & when̛ he had eten̛ itt, onone he was comforthed̛ & had strenthe, & was takyn̛ vp into a ship̛, & so he was savid̛. And be his tellyng, þis preste knew þat þe same howr̛ at þe lafe was broght vnto hym̛ he was att mess, & offred̛ þe sacrament for hym̛.
