We rede in 'Vitis [MS. Vitas.] Patrum' how on̛ a tyme when̛ Macharius went furtℏ of his ceƚƚ, þe devuƚƚ come on̛ hym̛ with a ley & walde hafe smetyn̛ hym̛, & he myght noght.
