Cesarius tellis how þat in Spayn̛, in ane abbay of þe ordur of Ceustus, was þer a yong monk̘ þat was passand̛ devowte in saying of our̛ Ladie serves & hur howres, vnto so mekuƚƚ þat not alonelie att euer-ilk vers, bod at euer-ilk wurd̛ at he said̛, he had mynde of hur; and þis he vsid̛ many day with grete labur. And when̛ he had̛ vsid̛ þis xvj yere, hym̛ happend̛ faƚƚ seke and drew to deadward̛. And a bruther of his askid̛ hym̛ how he did̛,

and he said̛, wele, and̛ told̛ hym̛ þat our Lady Saynt Marie had visett hym̛ & tolde hym̛ þat he sulde dye opon̛ þe vij day after þatt, and go vnto hevyn̛. And he told̛ hym̛ þat our Lady sayd̛ vnto hym̛, þat for gude serves & trew at he had done hur, sho sulde do vnto hym̛ þat sho did neuer vnto no noder.
