Honorandi sunt hospites. et c̛.
We rede how on̛ a tyme when̛ þe Normondis destroyid̛ France, the bodie of Saynt Martyn̛ was translatt vnto þe cetie of Antysiodorence; and þer, for grete mervals & meracles at it did̛, þer was grete offrand̛ made therto. So þer feƚƚ a grete debate be-twix þe men̛ off Turans [St. Martin's body had been translated from Tours; St. German's remains were at Antisiodorens=Auxerre.] & of Antisiodorens, for skiftyyng of þis money betwix þaim. So þai made a counand̛, at þai suld̛ take a lepre man̛ & lay hym̛ aƚƚ nyght betwix þe bonys of Saynt̛ Martyn̛ & Saynt German̛, at luke be vertue of wheþer of þaim he was curyd̛, & þai to hafe þe money; and so þai did̛. & on̛ þe morn̛, when̛ þai come & lukid̛ hym̛, þat side at was next Saynt Martyn̛ was curid̛ & hale, & þe tother syde was lepre; & þan̛ þai turnyd̛ & layd̛ þe sare syde to Saynt Martynward̛, & þe hale syde vnto Saynt̛ German̛ward̛. And on̛ þe toþer morn̛ he was hale ouer aƚƚ his bodie. And þus þe men̛ of Turence had þe offrand̛.
