Histriones non sunt accusandi.
Valerius tellis how on̛ a tyme þe cetie of Massalience [Lat. MSS. Civitas Massiliensis.] wold̛ suffer no mynstraƚƚ com̛ with-in it, & if any happend̛ at com̛, þai wold̛ reprufe hym̛. So þer was a philosophur, & he reprovid̛ þaim of þe cetie þer-of, & tolde þaim þat þai sulde with-in a while hafe war mynstraƚƚs þan̛ þai war. And so it happend̛ with-in a while after, þe cetie was evyn̛ fuƚƚ of common̛ wommen̛; and þan̛ þai purseyvid̛ at it was trew at he told̛ þaim.
