Jacobus de Vetriaco tellis how on̛ a tyme a holie man̛, as he was in the quere, he was war of þe devuƚƚ & a hevie sakk *. [MS. saƚƚ.] evyn̛ fuƚƚ on̛ his bakk̘. & þis holie man̛ chargid̛ hym̛ to charge hym̛ att teƚƚ hym̛ whatt he bare in þat sekk̘ at was so hevy. & he ansswerd̛ agayn̛ & sayd̛; "here in þis sakk̘ er silappis & wurdis þat er ouerhippid̛, & also versis of þe salter & wurdis er mombled̛ þat þir prestis & þies clerkis hase stolne in þis matyn̛-while." & þan̛ þis holie man̛ askid̛ hym̛ what he hight, and he said̛ þat he hight Titiuillus.
