So as one of þaim, to safe hur chastite, putt hur in grete pereƚƚ of þe watir, ij of hur enmys come vnto hur in a bote, & drew hur into þer ship̛, to þe entent at þai wold̛ devowre hur maydenhede. And sho had levur hafe gane agayn̛ into þe watir & hafe bene drownyd̛, þan̛ at þai had defowlid̛ hur. And sho lepe oute of þe ship̛ into þe watir, and with strenthe of hur lowpyng þe bote drownyd̛, & þase ij men̛ war bathe drownyd̛; and sho be þe grace of allmyghti God was savid̛, & come hole & sownde vnto þe land̛. et c̛.
