Et defecerunt in vanitate dies eorum: & anni eorum cum festinacione. ¶ And thaire dayes fayld in vanyte: and thaire ȝeris with hastiynge. ¶ Thaire dayes that thai wast in vanyte. that is, in luf & lust of this warld. fayls. that is, cumys till defaut of body and saule. and thaire ȝeris hastis till noght. for thai seke noght the life of heuen. Mannys life, thof it seme lange, it passis sone, and is bot vanyte. as he that dyes when he is borne. men says that he is borne in vayne.
