Argayl, þat next hym was born, Was kyng as he had be byforn. Line 3824 Wykkedly þen gan hym falle, ffor he discorded wyþ hem alle; Þe godmen he abesed [abeissed . . aueanced.] mykel, & auaunsed þo þat were swykel; Line 3828 Þe tresor þey hadden, he it hem reft; He loued wel lyes; [Bleþely wild lie.] þe soþes he left; Trowe men ne louede he nought; Glad was he whan wo was wrought. Line 3832 þe barons conseilled þeym bytwene; Þe lond þey refte hym quyt & clene.
