THE sentence of þis chartur is, þat Elenore þe wife sum-time of w. foliot of Euinlei in fre widewhode, beinge aftur þe decese of w. foliot her husbonde, resinid & quiet-claimyd vtturli for hir for euir, to god & to our ladi & to þe house of seint Iohn baptiste of Godestowe & to þe minchons þere seruinge god, for þe helþe of his soule & of her aunceturs & successours, iiij. d of rente þe which clarice þat was sum-time þe wife of Siluester of brackelei paid to hir yerli, þat is to sei, for þe iij. parte of þe x. acris of londe in þe felde of Euinlei, vndur þe name of dowri, þe whiche she was wonid to receiue at to termis of þe yere, þat is to sei, at þe assumsion of oure ladi, ij. d; & at þe annunciacion, ij. d: & þat hir resininge & quite-claiminge sholde be sure, she strengthid hit with þe puttinge to of her seele: & is with-oute date.
