Þey wuld nat, for loue ne awe, [O. gloss 'drede.'] Ȝeue hym crystyn mennys [ȝeuyn . . mannys D.] lawe; 'Requiem' ne shulde be note [wyþ note O, r. schulde noon D.] be sunge Ne seyd for hym, wyþ mannys tunge.
