Þe ffirste tretys of surgerie halt with inne hym generall Rulys & Canons, & hath þre techynges. þe ffurste techynge of þe furste tretys haþ þre Chapyttles. Cap. j. of þe furste techynge of the firste tretys of dyffiniciones & of partyes þat beþ suggettys to surgerye. Cap ij. is of qualite, fforme & Maners of a Surgien.

¶ Cap. iij. ys of Intencioun of a Surgien. Þe secunde techynge of þe ffyrste tretys ys O summe & on Chapitell of a notamye, þat is to sugge þe knowlechynge of þe forme, & þe complexion, & þe helpynges of alle þe synwes, veyne, grustlys, brawnys, guttys, bleddre, lyuere, Mylte, & alle oþere senglere lymes, & of þe engendrynge of þe child in þe modire wombe. The þridde techynge of þe firste tretys hath xv. Chapytells. Cap. j. on of þe þridde techynge, of þe þridde tretys, ys a comyn worde of woundes & olde woundes.
