This marquis wondreth euer þe lenger þe more Line 687 vpon hir pacience. and if þat he Ne hadde soþly knowen þer bifore Þat parfytly hir children loued sche he wold haue wend þat of som subtilte Line 691 And malice or of cruel corrage That sche had suffred þis wiþ sad visage Line 693
But wel he knew þat next himself certayn Line 694 Sche loued hir children best in euery wise But now of wommen wold I aske fayn If þese assayes mighten not suffice what couþe a stourdy housebonde more deuyse Line 698 To prove hir wyfhode and her stedefastnesse / And he contynuyng euer in stourdynesse Line 700
