¶ No wonder is þouȝ þat sche were astoned Line 337 To se so gret a geste in þat place Sche neuer was to suche gestes woned ffor which sche loked wiþ ful pale face Line 340 But schortly forþ þis mater for to chace This aren þe wordes þat þe marquys sayde To his benigne verray feyþful mayde Line 343
¶ Grisilde he seyde ȝe schule wel vnderstonde Line 344 It likeþ to ȝoure fader and to me That I ȝou wedde and eek it may so stonde As I suppose ȝe wil þat it so be Line 347 But þese demaundes ax I first quod he ¶ þat siþþen it schal be don in hasty wise Wille ȝe assente or elles ȝou auyse Line 350
