Þe syxte eadmodnysse steepe is, ȝyf þare mynecene byd ȝecweme, þ̱ heo unwyrdost & lætemæst beo ȝeteald, & to eallum þam þingum, þe hyre beod betæht to donde, tellan hy syluen yfolne wrihtan & unwyrdna & þus mid þam witeȝan clypie: [wite|ȝan, e über der Zeile, Hs.] "To nane þinge ic eam bycuman, & ic hit nyste; swa swa þat nyten ic eom ȝeworden toȝeanes þe, & æfre ic eom myd þe.

Seofaþe.

Þe seofaþe eadmodnysse stæpe ys, ȝif þeo mynecena hi [folio 72b] sylue uttran & unweorþest telle, na þ̱ an mid hyre mude secge and ec mid hyre heorte fæstlice ȝelife, hy sylue ȝeadmede & [and] an Hs. ‖ ec aus ȝec radiert.] þus mid þan witeȝan cwede: "Ic eam ȝewis wyrm & næng man, manenen edwit & folces æwyrp". "Anhafen ic eam & [edwit auf Rasur, wovon der 1. Buchst. ein w.] ȝenydered & ȝescænd"; & eft se witeȝa seȝd: "God is me, drihten þ̱ þu me ȝenyþeradest, þat ic maȝe leornie þine beboda".

Þe nyȝede eadmodnysse stæpe is, ȝef þeo mynecena hyre tunga forwyrnod to specende & habbon swiȝunga & ne spæce, [folio 73a] ær he beo ȝeahsod, forþan þat haliȝe ȝewrit swutelod, þ̱ on maniefealde spece ne byd syn forboȝen, & forþi þe se fæle talyende man uppon eorþe ne ȝeþihd.
