[verse 48] And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, [verse 49] `Nyle thou noumbre [Noumbre thou not I.] the lynage of Leuy, nether sette thou the summe [noumbre IS.] of hem with [verse 50] the sones of Israel; but thou schalt ordeyne hem on [vpon IS.] the tabernacle of witnessing, and on [vpon IS.] alle the vessels therof, and what [vpon what IS.] euer thing perteyneth to [Om. Thei schulen bere the taberna|cle, and alle purtenaunces [the pur|tenaunces IS.] therof, and thei schulen be in [in the S.] seruyce [seruyce of it IS.] , and schulen [thei schulen IS.] sette tentis bi the [Om. IS.] cumpas of the tabernacle. [verse 51] Whanne me [men IS.] schal go [go forth or be removed IS.] , the dekenes schu|len do [take IS. putte K sec. m.] doun the tabernacle; whanne the tentis schulen be sette, thei schulen `reise the tabernacle [sette it vp I. sette vp the tab. S.] . Who euer of straungeris [straungeris, that is, another lynage BCGKQX. straungeris, that is, of other lynage S.] neiȝeth, he schal be slayn. [verse 52] Sotheli the sones of Israel schulen sette tentis, ech man bi cumpenyes [his cumpenyes IS.] , and gaderyngis [his felouschipes IS.] , and his [verse 53] oost; forsothe the dekenes schulen sette tentis [her tentis IS.] bi the [Om. IS.] cumpas of the tabernacle,

lest indignacioun be maad on the multi|tude of the sones of Israel; and thei [the dekens IS.] schu|len wake in the kepyngis [waardis IS.] of the `taberna|cle of witnessyng [tabernaclis of witnessinges S.] . [verse 54] Therfor the sones of Israel diden bi alle thingis whiche [aftir that IS.] the Lord comaundide to Moises. [verse 1] And the Lord spak to Moises and to Aaron, and seide, Alle men of the sones of Israel schu|len sette tentis bi the [her IS.] cumpenyes, signes [and signes FKLO. and bi her tokenes IS.] , and [Om. IS.] baneris [bi her baneris IS.] , and housis [meynees IS.] of her kynredis, bi the [Om. IS.] cumpas of the tabernacle of boond of pees. [verse 3] At the est Judas schal sette tentis, bi the cumpenyes of his oost; and Naason, the sone of Amynadab, schal be prince of [verse 4] the sones of Juda; and al the summe [noum|bre IS.] of fiȝteris of his kynrede, foure and seuenty thousynde and sixe hundrid. [verse 5] Men [Om. S.] of the lynage of Ysachar settiden tentis bysydis hym, of whiche the [Om. IS.] prince was Nathanael, [verse 6] the sone of Suar; and al the noumbre of hise fiȝteris, foure and fifti thousynde and foure hundrid. [verse 7] Eliab, the sone of Elon, [verse 8] was prince of [in plures.] the lynage of Zabulon; al the oost of fiȝteris of his kynrede, seuene and fifti thousynde and foure hundrid. [verse 9] Alle that weren noumbrid in the castels [tentis IS. castel L.] of Judas, weren an hundrid thousynde [thousynde and IS.] `foure scoore thousynde and sixe [sixe and eiȝti thousinde BNX. eiȝti and sixe thousinde M. lxxxvj plures.] and foure hundrid; and thei schulen go out the [Om. IS.] firste bi her cumpanyes. [verse 10] In the castels [tentis IS.] of the sones of Ruben, at the south coost, Elisur, the sone of Sedeur, schal be prince; [verse 11] and al the oost of hise fiȝteris, that [Om. S.] weren noumbrid, sixe and fourti thousynde and fyue hundrid. [verse 12] Men of the lynage of Sy|meon settiden tentis bisidis hym, of whiche the prince was Salamyhel, the sone of Su|risaddai; [verse 13] and al the oost of hise fiȝteris, that weren noumbrid, nyne and fifty thou|synde and thre hundrid. [verse 14] Eliasaph, sone [the sone IS.] of Duel, was prince in the lynage of Gad; [verse 15] and al the oost of his fiȝteris, that weren noumbrid, fyue and fourti thousynde sixe [and sixe A pr. m. IS.] hundrid and fifti. [verse 16] Alle that weren noum|brid

in [of IS.] the castels [tentis IS.] of Ruben, an hundrid thousynde fifty [and fifty IS.] thousinde and a [j S.] thou|sinde foure [and foure S.] hundrid and fifty; thei schu|len go forth in the secounde place bi her cumpenyes. [verse 17] Sotheli the tabernacle of wit|nessyng schal be reisid [reisid vp IS.] bi the offices of dekenes, and bi the [her IS.] cumpenyes `of hem [Om. IS.] ; as [alle as K.] it schal be reisid [reisid vp bi hem IS.] , so and [Om. IS.] it schal be takun doun [doun bi hem S.] ; alle [alle thei IS.] schulen go forth bi her places and ordris. [verse 18] The castels [tentis IS.] of the sones of Effraym schulen be at the west coost, of whiche the prince was Elisama, the [verse 19] sone of Amyud; and al the oost of his fiȝteris, that weren noumbrid, fourti thou|synde and fyue hundrid. [verse 20] And with hem was the lynage of `the sones of Manasses [Manasse sones S.] , of whiche the prince was Gamaliel, the [verse 21] sone of Fadassur; al the oost of hise fiȝt|eris, that weren noumbrid, two [weren two IS.] and thretti thousande and two hundrid. [verse 22] In the lynage of the sones of Beniamyn the prince was [verse 23] Abidan, the sone of Gedeon; and al the oost of hise fiȝteris, that weren noumbrid, fyue [weren fyue IS.] and thretti thousynde and foure hun|drid. [verse 24] Alle [alle men IS.] that weren noumbrid in the castels [tentis IS.] of Effraym weren an hundrid thousynde and eiȝte thousynde and oon hundrid; thei schulen go forth `the thridde [in the thridde place IS.] bi her cumpenyes. [verse 25] At the `part of the north [north coost IS.] the sones of Dan settiden tentis, of whiche the prince was Abiezer, the sone [verse 26] of Amysaddai; al the oost of hise fiȝteris, that weren noumbrid, two [weren two IS.] and sixti [fourti K.] thou|synde and seuene hundrid. [verse 27] Men [And men KX.] of the lynage of Aser settiden tentis bisidis hym [hem W.] , of whiche the prince was Fegiel, the sone [verse 28] of Ochran; and al the oost of hise fiȝteris, that weren noumbrid, fourti [weren oon and fourti I. weren fourti S.] thousynde `and a thousynde [Om. I. and j thousynde S.] and fyue hundrid. [verse 29] Of the lynage of the sones of Neptalym the prince was Ahira, the sone of Henam; [verse 30] and al the oost of hise fiȝteris, thre [weren thre IS.] and fifti thousynde and foure hundrid. [verse 31] Alle that weren noumbrid in the castels [tentis IS.] of Dan

weren an hundrid thousynde seuene [and seuene BIS.] and fifti thousynde and sixe hundrid; thei schulen go forth the laste [laste tyme IS.] . [verse 32] This is the noumbre of the sones of Israel, bi the housis of her kynredis, and bi cumpenyes of the oost departid, sixe hundrid thou|synde thre [and thre plures.] thousynde fyue [foure W.] hundrid and fifti. [verse 33] Sotheli the dekenes weren not noum|brid among the sones of Israel; for God comaundide so to Moises. [verse 34] And the sones of Israel diden bi [Om. IS.] alle thingis whiche [aftir that IS.] the Lord comaundide; thei settiden tentis bi her cumpenyes, and ȝeden [thei ȝeden IS.] forth bi the meynees, and housis of her fadris.
