[verse 51] Comaunde thou to the sones of Israel, and seie thou to hem, Whanne ȝe han passid Jordan, and han entrid in to the [verse 52] lond of Canaan, distrie ȝe alle the dwell|eris of that cuntrey; breke ȝe the titlis [her titlis IS.] , `that is [or IS.] , auteris, and dryue ȝe [Om. IS.] to [into IS.] poudre [poudre, waaste ȝe I.] the [her IS.] ymagis, and distrie ȝe alle heiȝ [hise C. her heiȝ IS.] [verse 53] thingis [thingis of pride IS.] , and clense ȝe the lond, and alle men [the men IS.] dwellynge thereynne. For Y ȝaf [haue ȝoue IS.] to [verse 54] ȝou that lond into possessioun whiche [the whiche I.] ȝe schulen departe to ȝou bi lot; to mo men [in noumbre S marg.] ȝe schulen ȝyue largere lond, and to fewere men [in noumbre S marg.] streytere [streytere or lesse IS.] lond, as lot [the lot IS.] fallith to alle men, so eritage schal be ȝouun; posses|sioun [the possessioun I. eche of hem possessioun S.] schal be departid bi [to IS.] lynagis and meynees. [verse 55] But if ȝe nylen [wil nat I.] sle the dwelleris of the [that I.] lond [lond of Chanaan S.] , thei, that abiden [of hem alyue S marg.] , schulen be to ȝou as nailes in the iȝen, and speris [as speris IS.] in the sidis, `that is, deedli aduersaries [Om. I. that is, deedli enemyes S marg.] ; and thei schulen be aduersaries [contrarie enemyes IS. dedli aduersaries I.] to ȝou in [verse 56] the lond of ȝoure abitacioun [dwelling IS.] ; and what euer thing Y thouȝte [seith the Lord S marg.] to do `to hem [to him FK. a [of S] vengeaunce to that puple IS.] , Y schal do to ȝou. [verse 1] And the Lord spak to [verse 2] Moises, and seide, Comaunde thou to the sones of Israel, and thou schalt seie to hem, Whanne ȝe han entrid in to the lond of Canaan, and it bifelde [hath falle IS. bifalle ELP.] in to possessioun `to ȝou [Om. I.] bi lot, it schal be endid bi these endis [coostu I. coostis or termese S.] . [verse 3] The south part schal bigynne at the wildirnesse of Syn, which [that IS.] is bisidis
