[verse 1] And Marie spak and Aaron aȝens Moises, [verse 2] for his wijf a womman of Ethiope, and seiden [thei seiden IS.] , Whethir God spak [spak his will I. spak or shewede his wille S.] oneli by Moises? whethir he spak not also to vs in lijk maner? And whanne the Lord hadde herd [verse 3] this, he was wrooth greetli; for Moises was the myldest man, ouer alle men that dwelliden in erthe. [verse 4] And anoon [In Ebru it is, sodeynly. Lire here. GKQX.] the Lord spak to Moises and to Aaron and to Ma|rye, Go [Goth I.] out ȝe thre aloone to the taber|nacle of boond [the boond B.] of pees. And whanne [verse 5] thei weren gon yn [yn thidir S.] , the Lord cam doun in a [the IS.] piler of cloude [a cloude IS.] , and he stood in the entryng [entree IS.] of the tabernacle, and clepide [he clepide IS.] Aaron and Marie. [verse 6] And whanne thei had|den go [gon forth I. go forth to him S.] , he seide to hem, Here ȝe my wordis; if ony among ȝou is a profete of the Lord, Y schal appere to hym in reue|lacioun, ethir Y schal speke to hym bi `a dreem [sweuen IS.] . [verse 7] And he seide, And my seruaunt Moises is not siche [or so straunge to me. IS.] , which [the whiche I.] is moost feith|ful [verse 8] in al myn hows; for Y speke to hym mouth to mouth, and he seeth God opynli [or clerli pass|inge other. S.] , and not bi derke spechis [spechis ether derk liknessis BCGKQX.] and figuris. Why therfor dredden ȝe not to bacbite [depraue F.] `ether depraue [Om. DIMORST sec. m. W.] my seruaunt Moises? [verse 9] And the Lord was wrooth aȝens hem, and he [Om. A sec. m. BCD.] wente a wei. [verse 10] And the cloude ȝede [wente ILS.] a wei, that was on [vpon IS.] the tabernacle and lo! Marie apperide whijt [schynynge IS. Om. L.] with lepre as [whijt as IS.] snow. And whanne Aaron biheelde hir, and siȝ hir bispreynd [bispreynd ether bisched B. bispred LP.] [verse 11] with lepre, he seide to Moises, My lord, Y beseche [beseche thee IS.] , putte thou not this synne on [vpon IS.] [verse 12] vs, which we diden folili, that this wom|man be not maad as deed, and as a deed borun thing which [that IS.] is cast out of the `wombe of his modir [modir wombe IS.] ; lo! now the half of hir fleisch is deuourid [deuourid or ouerhilid S.] with lepre. [verse 13] And Moises criede to the Lord, and seide, Lord, Y biseche [biseche thee IS.] , heele thou hir. [verse 14] To whom the Lord answerid, If hir fadir hadde spet in

to hir face, where sche ouȝte not to be fillid [fulfillid IS.] with schame, nameli in [Om. S.] seuene daies? Therfor be sche departid out of the tentis bi seuen daies, and aftirward sche schal be clepid aȝen. [verse 15] And so Marie was excludid [put IS.] out of the tentis bi seuene daies; and the puple was not mouyd fro that place, til Marie was clepid aȝen.
