[verse 1] And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, [verse 2] Speke thou to the sones of Israel, Whanne a soule [soule, that is, a man BCEGKLNPQ. man IS.] hath do synne [a synne O.] bi ignoraunce [ignoraunce or vnkunnyngnesse S.] , and hath [Om. I.] do ony thing of alle comaunde|mentis [the comaundementis CIKS.] of the Lord [Om. IS.] , whiche he [the Lord hath IS.] co|maundide that tho [thei IS.] schulen not be don; [verse 3] if a preest [that is, the hiȝeste preest BCGNQX.] which [that IS.] is anoyntid [the prest anoyntid is the hiȝest prest S. marg.] , hath do [Om. S.] synne, makynge [makynge so I.] the puple to [to do IS.] trespasse, he schal offre for his synne a calf without wem to the Lord. [verse 4] And he schal brynge it to the dore of the tabernacle of witness|yng, bifor the Lord, and he schal sette [putte his IS.] hond on the heed therof, and [Om. I.] he schal offre it to the Lord. [verse 5] And he schal take vp of the [Om. S.] blood `of the calf [ther off IS.] , and schal [schal he IS.] brynge it in to the tabernacle of witness|yng. [verse 6] And [Om. W.] whanne he hath dippid the [his IS.] fyngir in to the blood, he schal sprenge it seuen sithis bifor the Lord, aȝens the veil of the [Om. plures.] seyntuarie. [verse 7] And he schal putte of the same blood on [vpon IS. in O.] the corners of the au|ter of encense moost acceptable to the Lord, which auter is in the tabernacle of witnessyng; sotheli he schal schede [heelde I.] al the `tother blood [blood that is left I. left blood S.] in to the foundement [ground IS.] of the auter of brent sacrifice in the entryng [entree IS.] of the tabernacle. [verse 8] And he schal offre for synne [his synne IS.] the ynnere fatnesse of the calf, as well it that hilith the entrails, as alle [verse 9] thingis that ben with ynne [ynne forth IS.] , twei litle reynes, and the calle, which [the which F sec. m. that IS.] is on [aboue IS.] tho [hem INS.] bisidis ilion [the reyne guttis IS.] , and the fatnesse [talouȝ IS.] of the [Om. S.] [verse 10] mawe, with the litle reines, as it is offrid of the calf of the sacrifice of pesible thingis; and he [the prest IS.] schal brenne tho on [thingis vpon IS.] the auter of brent sacrifice. in to a clene place, where aischis ben wont to be sched [helde IS.] out; and he schal brenne tho [tho thingis S.] on [vpon IS.] the heep of trees [wode IS.] , whiche [the whiche IS.] schulen be brent in the place of aischis sched [cast I. helde S.] out. [verse 13] That if al the cumpeny of the sones of Israel knowith not, and doith by vnkun|nyng that that is aȝens the comaunde|ment [heest IS.] [verse 14] of the Lord, and aftirward vndir|stondith his synne, it [he IS.] schal offre a calf for synne [that synne IS.] , and it [he IS.] schal brynge the calf to the dore of the tabernacle. [verse 15] And the eldere men of the puple schulen sette hondis on the heed therof bifor the Lord; and whanne the calf is offrid in the [Om. IS.] siȝt of the [verse 16] Lord, the preest which [that IS.] is anoyntid schal bere ynne of his blood in to the tabernacle [verse 17] of witnessyng; and whanne the [he hath dippid his IS.] fyngur `is dippid [Om. IS.] , he schal sprenge [sprenge it I. sprenge the blood S.] seuen sithis aȝens the veil. [verse 18] And he schal putte of the same blood in the hornes of the auter, which is bifor the Lord in the tabernacle of witnessyng; sotheli he schal schede [heelde I.] the `residue blood [blood that leeueth IS.] bisidis the foundement of the auter of brent sacrifice, which is in the dore of tabernacle [the tabernacle plures.] of witnessyng. [verse 19] And he [the prest S.] schal take al the fatnesse therof [of the calff I. of calf S.] , and [verse 20] schal [he schal IS.] brenne it on the auter; and so [Om. IS.] he schal do also of this calf, as he dide also [Om. DIKMN sec. m. OQRSTWX.] bifor [bifor of the tother IS.] ; and whanne the prest schal preye for hem, the Lord schal be merciful. [verse 21] For|sothe he [the preest IS.] schal bere out thilke calf, and schal [he schal IS.] brenne it [Om. plures.] , as [as he dide IS.] also the formere calf, for it is for the [Om. IS.] synne of the multitude. [verse 22] If the [a IS.] prince synneth, and doith bi igno|raunce o thing [synne S.] of many, which is forbodun [verse 23] in the lawe of the Lord, and aftirward vn|dirstondith his synne, he schal offre to the Lord a sacrifice, a `buk of geet [keet bukke I. geet bukke S.] , `that hath [verse 24] no [withoute IS.] wem; and he schal sette his hond on [vpon IS.] the heed therof. And whanne he hath of|frid it in the place, where brent sacrifice is wont to be slayn, bifor the Lord, for it [verse 25] is for synne; the preest schal dippe the [his IS.]

[verse 32] Sotheli [Forsothe plures.] if he [siche a man S.] of|frith of litle beestis a sacrifice for synne, [verse 33] that is, a scheep without wem, he schal putte the [his IS.] hond on the heed therof, and he schal offre it in the place where the beest [beestis IKORSTW.] of brent sacrifices ben wont to be slayn. [verse 34] And the preest schal take of the blood therof in his fyngur, and he schal touche [touche ther with IS.] the hornes of the autir of brent sacrifice, and he schal schede [heelde I.] the residue [blood that is left I. bl. that leeuith S.] at the foundement therof [of the auter IS.] . [verse 35] And he [the prest S.] schal do a wey al the ynnere fatnesse as the in|nere fatnesse of the ram which [that IS.] is offrid for pesible thingis, is wont to be don a wei,
