[verse 1] And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, [verse 2] Speke thou to Aaron and to hise sones, that thei be war of these thingis of the sones of Israel, whiche thingis [Om. IS.] ben ha|lewid [hal. that is, offrid BCELNPQX. hal. or offrid S.] ; and that they defoule not the name of thingis [the thingis IS.] halewid to me, whiche thingis [Om. IKO sec. m. S.] thei offren; Y am the [Om. S.] Lord. [verse 3] Seie thou to hem, and to the aftir comeris of hem, Ech man of ȝoure kynrede, `which man [that IS.] neiȝeth to tho thingis that ben ha|lewid, and whiche thingis the sones of Is|rael offreden to the Lord, in `which man [whom I.] is vnclennesse, schal [he schal IS.] perische bifor the Lord; Y am the [Om. not ete of these thingis, that ben halewid to me [me or offrid S.] , til he be heelid. He that touchith an vncleene thing on [vpon IS.] a deed bodi, and fro whom the [Om. IS.] seed as of leccherie goith out, [verse 5] and which [that IS.] touchith a crepynge beeste, and what euer vncleene thing, whos touch|yng [verse 6] is foul, schal [he schal I.] be vncleene `til to [vnto the IS. til to the K.] euen|tid, and he schal not ete these thingis, that ben halewid to me; but whanne he hath [verse 7] waische his fleisch in watir, and the sunne hath go doun, thanne he schal be clensid, and schal [he schal IS.] ete halewid thingis, for it is his mete. [verse 8] He schal not ete a thing deed bi it silf, and takun of a [Om. C.] beeste, nethir he schal be defoulid in tho [tho thingis IS.] ; Y am the [Om. IS.] Lord. [verse 9] Thei schulen kepe myn heestis, that thei be not suget to synne, and die in the seyn|tuarye, whanne thei han defoulid it; Y am the [Om. IS.] Lord that halewe [halewith S.] ȝou. [verse 10] Ech alien schal not ete of thingis halewid; the hyne which [that IS.] is a straunger, and the hirid man of the preest, schulen not ete of tho [tho thingis IS.] . So|theli [verse 11] these [thilke I.] seruauntis, whom [that I. which W.] the preest hath bouȝt, and which [he that I.] is a [Om. G.] borun ser|uaunt [verse 12] of his hows, schulen ete of tho [tho thingis IS.] . If the `douȝter of the preest [preestis douȝter IS.] is weddid to ony [ony man IS.] of the puple, sche schal not ete of these thingis that ben halewid, and of the [verse 13] firste [cheef IS.] fruytis; sotheli if sche is a widewe, ether forsakun, and turneth aȝen with out fre children to `the hows of hir fadir [hir fadris hous IS.] , sche schal be susteyned bi the metis of hir fa|dir, as a damysel was wont; ech alien hath not power to ete of tho [tho thingis IS.] . [verse 14] He that etith bi ignoraunce of halewid thingis, schal [he schal IS.] adde [adde to IS.] the fyuethe part with that that he eet, and `schal ȝyue [he schal ȝyue it IS.] to the preest [verse 15] in [in the IS.] seyntuarie, and thei schulen not de|foule the halewid thingis of the sones of Israel, whiche [the whiche I.] thei offren to the Lord, [verse 16] lest perauenture thei suffren the wickid|nesse of her trespas, whanne thei han ete halewid [the halewid IS.] thingis; Y am the [Om. [verse 21] A man that offrith a sacrifice of pesyble thingis to the Lord, and ethir paieth auowis, ethir offrith bi fre wille, as wel of oxun as of scheep, he schal offre a beeste without wem, that it be acceptable; ech [no IS.] wem schal not [Om. IS.] be ther ynne. [verse 22] If it is blynd, if it is brokun, if it hath a scar [scar, that is a notable foulenesse dwellinge after the helinge of a wounde BCGQX. wounde or a scar I. wounde or an arre, that is, a foulnesse after the heelynge S.] , if it hath whelkis, ether scabbe, ethir drie scabbe, ȝe schulen not offre tho beestis [Om. I.] to the Lord, nether ȝe schulen brenne of tho [thilke I.] beestis on [vpon IS.] the auter of the Lord. [verse 23] A man may offre wilfuli an oxe and scheep [a scheep IS.] [an oxe and scheep, in E|breu it is, a scheep and an oxe superflu and dymynute, that is, hau|ynge a membre superflu ether failinge a mem|bre. [verse 24] Ȝe schulen not offre to the Lord ony beeste, whose priuy membris ben brokun, ethir brisid, ether kit, and takun awey, and outerli ȝe schulen not do these thingis in ȝoure lond. [verse 25] Of `the hond of an alien [the lond of an alien EKMNPWX. an alien lond S.] [that is, ne|ther Jew, ne|ther conuertid to the lawe of Jewis. BCGQX.] ȝe schulen not offre looues to ȝoure God, and what euer other thing he wole ȝyue [ȝyue that is not con|uertid I. ȝyue that is not c. to bileue S.] , for alle thingis [her thingis IS.] ben corrupt and defoulid; ȝe schulen not resseyue tho. fruytis. [verse 29] If ȝe offren to the Lord a sacri|fice for the doyng of thankyngis, that it mai be plesaunt, ȝe schulen ete it in the [verse 30] same dai in which it is offrid; ony thing [thing theroff IS.] schal not leeue in [in to IS.] the morewtid of the tother dai; Y am the [Om. IS.] Lord. [verse 31] Kepe ȝe myn heestis, and do ȝe tho; Y am the [Om. IO sec. m. RST sec. m.] Lord. [verse 32] Defoule ȝe not myn hooli name, that Y be halewid in the myddis of the sones of Is|rael; Y am the [Om.
