[verse 1] And the Lord spak to Moises and Aa|ron, [verse 2] and seide, Seie ȝe to the sones of Is|rael, Kepe ȝe alle thingis whiche Y wroot [haue write I.] to ȝou, that Y be ȝoure God. These ben the beestis, whiche ȝe schulen ete, of alle [verse 3] lyuynge [the lyuynge FS.] beestis of erthe; ȝe schulen ete `al thing [alle thingis S.] among beestis that hath [han I.] a [the IS.] clee [verse 4] departid, and chewith code [the code IS. quede L.] ; sotheli what euer thing [beest IS.] chewith code, and hath a clee, but departith [it departith IS.] not it, as a camel and othere beestis doon [Om. I.] , ȝe schulen not ete it, and ȝe schulen arette [acounte it IS. arette it K.] among vnclene thingis. [verse 5] A cirogrille [cirogrille, ether a conyng N. GQX.] , which [that IS.] chewith code, and departith not the clee, is vn|clene; [verse 6] and an hare, for also he [it IS.] chewith [verse 7] code [the code S.] , but [and F.] departith [it de|partith IS.] not the clee; and a swiyn, that chewith not code [the code IS.] , thouȝ he [it IS.] departith the clee. [verse 8] Ȝe schulen not ete the fleischis [fleishe I.] of these [these beestis IS.] , nether ȝe schulen touche the [her IS.] deed bodies, for tho ben vnclene to ȝou. [verse 9] Also these thingis ben [it ben I.] that ben gendrid in watris, and is leueful to ete; [verse 10] ȝe schulen ete al thing [thingis IS.] that hath [han S.] fynnes and scalis, as wel in the see, as in floodis [freshe floodis S.] and stondynge watris; sotheli what euer thing [thingis S.] of tho [hem I.] that ben moued and lyuen [lyueth W.] in watris, hath not fynnes and scalis, schal [verse 11] be abhominable, and wlatsum [as acursid IS.] to ȝou; ȝe [and ȝe IS.] schulen not ete the fleischis [fleishe I.] of tho, and ȝe schulen eschewe the [her IS.] bodies deed bi hem silf. [verse 12] Alle thingis in [beyng in IS.] watris that han not fynnes and scalis, schulen be pollutid, [verse 13] These thingis ben of foulis whiche [the whiche I.] ȝe schulen not ete, and schulen be eschewid of ȝou; an egle, and a [Om. plures.] grippe, aliete [aliete, that is, a kynde of egle.
