[verse 1] Also he [he, that is, the aungel BCKLP. the aungel IS. he, the aungel N.] seide to Moises, `Stie thou [go thou vp I. stie thou vp S.] to the Lord, thou, and Aaron, and Nadab, and Abyu, and seuenti eldere men of Is|rael; [verse 2] and ȝe schulen worschipe afer, and Moises aloone stie [go vp I. stie he vp S.] to the Lord, and thei schulen not neiȝe, nether the puple schal stie [go vp I. stie vp S.] with hym. [verse 3] Therfore Moises cam, and telde to the puple alle the wordis and domes [the domes S.] of the Lord; and al the puple an|sweride with o vois, We schulen do alle the wordis of the Lord, whiche he spak [hath spoke IS.] . [verse 4] Forsothe Moises wroot alle the wordis of the Lord; and he roos eerli, and bildide an auter to the Lord at the rootis of the hil, and he bildide [bildide or leide S.] twelue titlis [titlis ether stonys BCEGKNPQX. titlis or stones IS.] bi twelue lynagis of Israel. [verse 12] Forsothe the Lord seide to Moises, `Stie thou [come thou vp I. stie thou vp S.] to me in to the hil, and be thou there, and Y schal ȝyue to thee tablis of stoon, and the lawe, and comaundementis [heestis IS.] , whiche Y haue write, that thou teche [teche hem FIS.] the [Om. O.] children of Israel. [verse 13] Moises and Josue his mynystre [seruaunt IS. mynys|tris O.] risen [risiden B.] , and Moises stiede [ȝede vp I. stiede vp S.] in to [verse 14] the hil of God, and seide to the eldere men, Abide ȝe here, til [to S.] we turnen aȝen to ȝou; ȝe han Aaron and Hur with ȝou, if ony thing of questioun is [be IS.] maad, ȝe schulen telle to hem. [verse 15] And whanne Moises [verse 16] hadde stied [gon vp I. stied vp S.] , a cloude hilide the hil, and the glorie of the Lord dwellide on [vpon W.] Synai, and kyueride it with a cloude sixe daies; forsothe in the seuenthe dai the Lord cle|pide hym fro the myddis of the cloude; [verse 17] forsothe the licnesse of glorie [the glorie ISX.] of the Lord was as fier brennynge on the cop of the hil in the siȝt of the sones of Israel. [verse 18] And Moises entride into the myddis of the cloude, and stiede [ȝede up I. stiede vp S.] in to the hil, and he was there fourti daies and fourti nyȝtis.
