CAP. XXIV.
[verse 1] Also he [he, that is, the aungel BCKLP. the aungel IS. he, the aungel N.] seide to Moises, `Stie thou [go thou vp I. stie thou vp S.] to the Lord, thou, and Aaron, and Nadab, and Abyu, and seuenti eldere men of Is|rael; [verse 2] and ȝe schulen worschipe afer, and Moises aloone stie [go vp I. stie he vp S.] to the Lord, and thei schulen not neiȝe, nether the puple schal stie [go vp I. stie vp S.] with hym. [verse 3] Therfore Moises cam, and telde to the puple alle the wordis and domes [the domes S.] of the Lord; and al the puple an|sweride with o vois, We schulen do alle the wordis of the Lord, whiche he spak [hath spoke IS.] . [verse 4] Forsothe Moises wroot alle the wordis of the Lord; and he roos eerli, and bildide an auter to the Lord at the rootis of the hil, and he bildide [bildide or leide S.] twelue titlis [titlis ether stonys BCEGKNPQX. titlis or stones IS.] bi twelue lynagis of Israel. [verse 5] And he sente ȝonge men of the sones of Israel, and thei of|friden brent sacrifices, and `thei offriden [Om. DIKMN sec. m. ORST sec. m. W.] pesible sacrifices `to the Lord [Om. IS.] blood, and sente [putte it IS. putte MW.] in to grete [the grete LP.] cuppis; forsothe he schedde the residue part on [vpon IS.] the auter. [verse 7] And he took the book of the [Om. DGQRST.] boond of pees, and redde [he redde IS.] , while [the while F pr. m.] the puple herde; whiche [the whiche I.] seiden, We schu|len do alle thingis which [that IS.] the Lord spak, and we schulen be obedient. [verse 8] Forsothe he [Moises IS.] took [took the blood IS.] , and sprengide [spreinte L. sprengide it IS.] `the blood [Om. IOS. blood M pr. m. W.] on the puple, and seide, This is the [Om. IS.] blood of the boond of pees, which the Lord coue|nauntide with ȝow on alle these wordis. [verse 9] And Moises, and Aaron, and Nadab, and Abyu, and seuenti of the eldere men of [verse 10] Israel stieden [wenten up I. stieden vp S.] , and seiȝen God [and sien God, not in his be|yng, but in mannus lic|nesse repre|sentinge him.
