[verse 4] Forsothe the sones of Jauan weren Helisa, and Tharsis, [verse 5] Cethym, and Dodanym; of these sones the ylis of hethen [the hethen G.] men weren departid in her cuntrees, ech bi his [her G.] langage and mey|nees, in hise naciouns. [verse 6] Sotheli the sones of Cham weren Thus, and Mesraym, and Futh, and Chanaan. [verse 7] Forsothe the sones of Thus weren Saba, and Euila, and Saba|tha, and Regma, and Sabatacha. The sones of Regma weren Saba, and Dadan. [verse 8] Forsothe Thus gendride [bigaat I.] Nemroth; he [verse 9] bigan to be myȝti in erthe, and he was a [Om. W.] strong huntere [huntere, that is, oppressere BCN. or opp. ELP. either opp. GKQSWX.] of men bifore the Lord; of hym a prouerbe ȝede [went D.] out, as Nemroth, a strong huntere bifore the Lord. [verse 13] And sotheli Mesraym gendride [gaat I.] Ludym, and Anamym, and Laa|bym, [verse 14] Neptuym [and Neptuym GNX.] , and Ferrusym, and Ces|luym; of which the Filisteis and Captu|rym camen forth. [verse 15] Forsothe Chanaan gen|dride Sidon, his firste gendride sone, Ethei, [verse 16] and [Om. E.] Jebusei, [verse 17] and Amorrei, Gergesei, Euei, [verse 18] and Arathei, Ceney, and [Om. I.] Aradie, Sama|rites,

and Amathei; and puplis of Cha|naneis weren sowun abrood bi these men. [verse 19] And the termes of Chanaan weren maad to men comynge fro Sidon to Gerara, til to Gasa, til thou entre in to Sodom and Gomore, and Adama, and Seboyne, til to Lesa. [verse 20] These weren the sones of Cham, in her kynredis, and langagis, and genera|ciouns, and londis, and folkis. [verse 21] Also of Sem weren borun the fadris of alle the sones of Heber, and Japhet was the more [more or eldir S.] brother. [verse 22] The sones of Sem weren Elam, and Assur, and Arfaxath, and Lud, and Aram. [verse 23] The sones of Aram weren Vs, and Hul, and Gether, and Mes. [verse 24] And sotheli Arfaxath gendride Sale, of whom Heber was borun. [verse 26] And thilke Jectan gendride [bigaat I.] Elmodad, and [verse 27] Salech, and Asamoth, Jare, and Adhuram, [verse 28] and Vsal, and Deda, and Ebal, and Aby|mahel, [verse 29] Saba, and Ofir, and Euila, and Jo|bab; alle these weren the sones of Jectan. [verse 30] And the habitacioun of hem was maad fro Messa, as `me goith [men goinge BN.] til to Sefar, an hil of the eest. [verse 31] These ben the sones of Sem, bi kynredis, and langagis, and cuntrees, in her folkis. [verse 32] These ben [weren C.] the meynees of Noe, bi her puplis and naciouns; folkis in erthe weren departid of these aftir the greet flood.
