[verse 1] And goon forth thens, we comen into wildernes that ledith to the Reed See, as the Lord seide to me; and we enuy|rounden the hil of Seyr long tyme. [verse 2] And [verse 3] the Lord seide to me, Suffice it to ȝow to goon about this hil; goo ȝe aȝens the north. [verse 4] And to the puple comaund, sei|ynge, Ȝe shulen passe bi the coostis of ȝoure britheren, the sones of Esau, that dwellen in Seyr, and thei shulen drede ȝow. [verse 5] Se ȝe therfor bisilych, that ȝe ben not meued aȝens hem; ne forsothe I shal ȝeue to ȝow of the loond of hem as myche as the stap of a foot may treede, for into the possessioun of Esau Y haue ȝyue the hil of Seyr. [verse 6] Meetis ȝe shulen bigge [bie C.] of hem for money, and eten; wa|ter bouȝt ȝe shulen drawe, and drynke.
