CAP. IV.
[verse 1] Aftir thes thinges I siȝe, and lo! a dore openyd [was opened V.] in heuene. And the first voys that I herde, as [was as V.] of a trumpe spekinge with me, seiynge [and seyinge O. and seide V.] , Stiȝe up hidir, and I shal shewe to thee whiche [what O.] thinges [thing N.] it [Om. GMPT.] bihoueth for [Om. SX.] to be don soone aftir thes thinges. [verse 2] Anoon I was in spirit, and lo! a seete was put in heuen, and on the seete oon sittinge. [verse 3] And he that sat, was lijk to `the siȝt of [Om. N.] a [Om. Q.] stoone iaspis, and to sardyn [sardis X.] ; and the reynbowe was in the cumpas of the seete, lijk to [Om. V.] the [Om. G pr. m.] siȝt of smaragdyn. [verse 4] And in cumpas [the compas O.] of the seete foure [weren foure TV.] and twenty smale seetes; and vpon [aboue ANOQSVX. abouen Y.] the troones [trone O.] foure [weren foure T. I siȝ foure V.] and twenty eldre [eelder men OTV. elderes S.] sittynge, gyrd [and girde O.] aboute with white clothis, and in the heedis [heuedes GOT.] of hem golden crownes. [verse 5] And leytinges, and voyces, and thundringes [thondres OS.] camen out of the troone; and seuen laumpes brennynge bifore the troone, the [Om. V.] whiche ben seuen [Om. N. the seuen OX.] spirites of God. [verse 6] And in the siȝt of the seete, as [was T.] a se [sete Q.] of glas, lijk to [Om. V.] cristal; and
