N. dere brother V.] , of alle thingis I make preyer, thee [that thou V.] for [Om. SVX.] to [Om. V.] entre, and [Om. O.] fare welsumly, as thi soule doth [fareth O.] welsumly [wille|fulli N.] . [verse 3] I ioyede ful [Om. O.] greetly, britheren [for britheren V.] comynge [camen V.] , and [and baren V.] witnessyng [wittenesse O.] beringe [Om. VX sec. m.] to [of O.] thi [the N.] treuthe, as thou walkist in treuthe. [verse 4] I haue not more grace of thes thingis, than that I here my sones for [Om. STVX.] to [Om. V.] walke in treuthe. [verse 5] Moost dere [dere brother V.] , thou doist feithfully, what euer thou werchist in to britheren, and this thing in to pilgrimys, [verse 6] whiche ȝelden witnessing to thi charite in siȝt [the siȝt ANOQSVX.] of the [thi AN.] chirche; whom [which V.] thou `wel doyng ledist forth [leddist forth and dost wel V.] worthily to God. He that doith wel, is of God; he that doith yuel, seeth `him not [not God N. him God V.] . [verse 12] Witnessing is ȝolde to Demetrie of alle men, and of treuthe it silf; but and we beren witnessing, and thou `hast knowun [knowist V.] , for [that V.] oure witnessing is trewe [treuthe T.] .
