NOT [Thouȝ V.] the same ordre is at Greekis, that holly sauouren [sauerith Y.] , and the [Om. V.] riȝte feith [wey O.] folewen [folewith Y.] , of the seuene epistolis that ben clepid canonysid, as in Latyn bokys. It is founden sothly, that Petir is the [Om. OVY.] firste in noumbre [the noumbre OVY.] of apostolis [the aposteles OVY.] , also his epistolis shulden ben first in the [Om. Y.] ordre of othere; but as the euangelistis `sum tym to the lyne of treuthe [in the singne of treuthe sum tyme V. sumtyme to the lyf of treuthe Y.] now we han correctid, so these epistolis to ther owne ordre, God helpende, we han ȝolden. The firste sothli of hem is of Jamys, two [tweyne OVY.] of Petir, thre of Jon, oen of Jude. The whiche, if as of hem thei [Om. Y.] weren mad [ymaad OVY.] , so also of [as V.] interpretouris, or vndoeris, in [so in O.] to [Om.
