[verse 2] Forsoth `hem mynistringe in [whanne thei mynystriden to V.] the Lord, and fastynge [fastiden V.] , the Hooly Gost seide to hem, Departe ȝe to me Saul and Barnabas, into the work to which I haue takyn hem. [verse 3] Thanne thei `fastinge, and preiynge, and puttinge [fastiden, and preieden, and puttiden V.]

X.] , now `no more [not N.] to turnynge [turnen SX.] into [aȝeen into X.] corupcioun, thus he seith [seide V.] , For I schal ȝyue to ȝou the hooly trewe thingis of Dauith. [verse 35] And [Om. [verse 36] Forsoth Da|uith in his generacioun, whanne he hadde mynystrid to the wille of God, slepte [deiede O.] , `or deiede [Om. OX.] , and is [was V.] putt to his fadris, and syȝ [verse 37] corupcioun; sothli he whom God reiside fro deede men, syȝ not corupcioun. [verse 38] Ther|fore, men bretheren, be it knowun to ȝou, for [that V.] by him remyssioun of synnes is told to ȝou, fro alle synnes, of the [Om. SVX.] whiche ȝe myȝten not be iustified in the lawe of Moyses. [verse 39] In this ech man that bileueth, is iustified. [verse 40] Therfore se ȝe, that it come not to ȝou, that is aboue [bifore V.] seid in pro|phetis [verse 41] [the prophetes O.] , `Se ȝe, dispiseris [Ȝe dispisers, see V.] , and wondre ȝe [Om. V.] , and be ȝe scaterid a brood; for I worche a work in ȝoure daies, a werk that ȝe

[verse 42] Forsoth `hem goynge [he goynge K. whanne thei ȝeden V.] out, thei preieden, that `another suynge saboth [in sabot suyng V.] thei schulden speke to hem thes wordis. [verse 43] And whanne the synagoge was left, manye of Jewis and of comelingis worschipinge [worschipinge God V.] sueden Poul and Barnabas; the [Om. V.] whiche `spekinge, softli [spaken and V.] counceiliden hem, that thei schulden dwelle in the grace of God. [verse 44] Sothly in saboth [the saboth GMOPQSTVY.] suynge almoost al the cyte cam to gidere, for [Om. SX.] to heere the word of God. [verse 45] Forsoth Jewis seynge [sien V.] the cum|panyes [kumpanye S.] of peple, ben [and weren V.] fulfillid with enuye, and aȝen seiden thes thingis that weren seid of Poul, blasphemynge [and blasfemeden V.] . [verse 46] Thanne Poul and Barnabas stedefastly seyden, To ȝou it bihofte first for [Om. SX.] to speke [preche N.] the word of God; but for ȝe putten it awey, and han demed vs [ȝou V.] vnworthi of [to V.] euere lasting lyf, lo! we turnen to gidere to hethene men. [verse 47] Forsothe [For V.] so the Lord comaundide vs [to vs OS.] , I haue putt thee into [in O.] liȝt to hethene men, that thou be into heelthe `til to [vnto GMPQT.] the vt|moste [vttermest GMPQTY.] of erthe [the erthe QT.] . [verse 48] Sothli hethen men heeringe [herden and V.] ioyeden, and glorifieden the word of the Lord; and bileuyden, how manye euere weren byfore [Om. Q.] ordeyned to euere lastyng lyf. [verse 49] Forsoth the word of the Lord was ferr sowun by al the cun|tree. [verse 50] Sothli Jewis stiredyn religiouse wymmen, and honest, and the firste men of the cytee, and stiriden persecucioun into [aȝens V.] Poul and Barnabas, and castiden [casten SX.] hem out of her cuntrees. [verse 51] And thei [thei schooken awey V.] , the powdir of feet `shakun awey [Om. V.] into hem, camen [and camen V.] to Iconye. [verse 52] And disciplis [the disciplis GMPQT.] weren fulfillid [fillid VX.] with ioye and the [with the GT.] Hooly Gost.
