[verse 1] And the Lord spak to Moyses, seiynge, [verse 2] Speke to the sones of Yrael, and thow [verse 3] shalt seie to hem, Y am the Lord ȝoure God; after the custome of the loond of Egipte, in the which ȝe han dwellid, ȝe shulen not doo; after the maner of the regioun of Chanaan, to the whiche Y am to bryng ȝow yn, ȝe shulen not don, ne in the lawful thingis of hem ȝe shulen goo. [verse 4] Ȝe shulen doo my domes, and the heestis ȝe shulen kepe, and ȝe shulen goo in hem; Y the Lord ȝoure God. [verse 5] Kepith my lawes and domes, the whiche doynge, a man shal lyue in hem; Y the Lord ȝoure God. [verse 6] Eche man to the nexte wo|man of his blood shal not goo to, that he opne the filthed of hir; Y Lord. [verse 11] The filthheed of the douȝter of the wijf of thi fader, that she hath bore to thi fadir, and is thi sister, thow shalt not opne. [verse 12] The filth of the sister of thi fader thow shalt not disco|uer; the flesh she is of thi fader. [verse 13] The filthhed of the sister of thi moder thow shalt not opne, for thi that she is flesh of thi moder. [verse 14] The filthheed of the brother of thi fadir thow shalt not opne, ne thow shalt goo to the wijf of hym, the which is ioyned to thee thurȝ affynyte. [verse 15] The filthheed of the wijf of thi sone thow shalt not opne, for the wijf of thi sone she is, ne thow shalt dyscouer the shen|shyp of hir; and no man take the wijf of his brother. [verse 16] The filthheed of the wijf of thi brother thow shalt not opne, for the filthhed of thi brother it is. [verse 17] The filthheed of thi wijf, and of the douȝter of hir, thow shalt not opne; the douȝter of the sone of hir, and the douȝter of the douȝter of hir thou shalt not take, that thow opne hir shenship, for the flesh of hir thei ben, and siche a goyng togidere is incest. [verse 18] The sister of thi wijf into lig|gyn [lyȝynge E.] bi hir thow shalt not take, ne opne the filthhede of hir, ȝit she lyuyng. [verse 19] To the womman that suffreth flux of blood thow shalt not goo, ne opne the stynk|yngnes of hir. [verse 20] With the wijf of thi neiȝbore thow shalt not goo togidir, ne with mengyng togidere of seede thow shalt `be defoulid [not defoule hir D.] . bi maner of goyng to gidere with wom|man, for abhomynacioun it is. [verse 23] With alle beestis thow shalt not goo to gidere, ne thow shalt be defoulid with it. A womman shal not vnder ligge to a beeste, ne shal be mengid to it, for hidows synne it is. [verse 24] Ne be ȝe polut [polutid D.] in alle thes thinges, with the whiche alle gentilis ben de|foulid, that Y shal throwe out before ȝoure [verse 25] siȝt, of whom the erthe is polut, whos hidows synnes Y shal visite, that it caste [vome BDEFH.] out his dwellers. [verse 26] Kepe ȝe my lawes and my [Om. BDEFH.] domes, that ȝe do not of alle thes abomynaciouns, as wel the with ynne gotun as the dwellers [dweller BEH.] that pilgrymagen [pilgrimagith BDEFH.] anentis ȝow. [verse 27] Alle forsothe thes cursid|nessis [cursyd|hedes BDEFH.] diden the tiliers of the erthe that weren bifore ȝow, and polutide it. [verse 28] Shon|eth therfor, lest and also ȝow it caste [vome BDEFH.] out, whanne the same thinges ȝe doon, as it keste [vomyd BDEFH.] out folk that was before ȝow. [verse 29] Eche lijf that doth of thes abomynaciouns eny thing, shal perisch fro the myddil of his puple. [verse 30] Kepe ȝe myn heestis, and wole ȝe not doo thingis that diden thes that weren before ȝow, lest ȝe ben polut [polutid D.] in hem; Y the Lord ȝoure God.
