[verse 1] Poul, and Siluan, and Tymothe, to the chirche of Tessalonycensis [Tessalonycense P.] , in God oure [verse 2] fadir, and in the Lord Jhesu Crist [Om. Q.] , grace to ȝou and pees of God, oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist. [verse 3] We schullen [Om. GM. owen VX.] ,

`or owen [Om. GMOPQTVX.] , do [to don SX.] thankyngis euermore [euere A.] to God for ȝou [ȝoure Y.] , britheren, so as it is worthi, for [for whi V.] ȝoure feith ouerwexith [euer waxith GMPQTY.] , and the cha|rite of ech of ȝou to gidere haboundith. [verse 4] So that we [oure GMOPQTY sec. m. VS SX.] silf glorien in ȝou in the chirchis of God, for ȝoure pacience and feith in alle ȝoure persecuciouns and tribulaciouns. [verse 5] The [Om. VX.] whiche [that X.] ȝe [we O.] susteynen [suffren QT.] into the [Om. O.] en|saumple [exsaumple SX.] of the [Om. G.] iust dom of God, that ȝe be had worthi in the kyngdom of God, for which [whom QT.] and [Om. T.] ȝe suffren. [verse 6] If netheles it is iust at God for [Om. SX.] to quyte ȝeldyng [t ribulacioun V.] to [verse 7] hem that trublen [turblen MP.] ȝou, and to ȝou that ben trublid [turblid MP.] , reste with vs in the schew|inge of oure [the V.] Lord Jhesu Crist [Om. V.] fro he|uene [verse 8] , with aungels of his vertu, in the flawme of fyer, ȝyuynge veniaunce to hem that knewen [knowen NOQ.] not God, and that obeyen [obeschen M. obeieden NO.] not to the euangelie of oure Lord Jhesu Crist. [verse 9] The [Om. V.] whiche schulen ȝyue [suffre V.] , `or suf|fre [Om. OVX. or paye QT.] , euere lastinge peynes, in perisching fro the face of the [oure O.] Lord, and fro the [verse 10] glorie of his vertu, whanne he schal come for [Om. SX.] to be glorified in his seyntis, and for [Om. SX.] to be maad wondirful in alle men that bileueden, for oure witnessyng is bileued on ȝoun, in that day. [verse 11] In which thing also we preien euermore for ȝou, that oure God `fouchesaf for [Om. SX.] to clepe ȝou in his [make ȝou worthi to his V.] clepyng, and fulfille [fille V.] al [Om. G.] the wille of his [Om. V.] goodnesse, and the werk of feith in vertu; [verse 12] that the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be clarified in ȝou, and ȝe in it [him V.] , vp [after GMPQT. bi V.] the grace of oure `God, and of the [Om.
