[verse 1] Britheren, and if a man be bifore [fore G pr. m.] occu|pied, `or ouercomen [Om. X.] , in ony gilt, `or tres|pas [Om. OX.] , ȝe that ben spiritual, teche [techeth PQX.] siche a maner man in [in the X.] spirit of softnesse, `or meke|nesse [Om. GMOPQX.] , biholdinge thi silf, that and [Om. K.] thou be not temptid [temptid, fallynge in the same wyse Q.] . [verse 2] Bere ȝe chargis [the chargis S.] the to|thir of the tothir [tother, `or eche of other O.] , and so ȝe schulen ful|fille [fille V.] the lawe of Crist.
