[verse 1] Therfore stonde ȝe, and eftsoone [Om. O sec. m.] nyle ȝe be to gidere holdun in ȝok [the ȝok A pr. m. G sec. m.] of seruage. [verse 2] Loo! I Poul seie to ȝou, for [that V.] if ȝe ben circumcidid [circumcised N.] , Crist schal profite to ȝou no|thing. [verse 3] Sothli I bere witnessinge eftsoone to euery [eche X.] man circumsiding him silf, for [that V.] he is dettour [doctour K.] of al the lawe for [Om. SX.] to be don.

[verse 4] Ȝe ben auoydid [voidid X.] fro Crist, ȝe that ben ius|tified in the lawe han fallen awey fro grace. [verse 5] Forsoth [For V.] we by spirit of feith abiden the [Om. X.] hope of riȝtwysnesse. [verse 6] Forwhi in Crist Jhesu nethir circumcisioun is ony thing worth [wrthi S.] , nether prepucie, `that is, maner of hethen men [Om. OX.] , but feith that worchith by charite. [verse 7] Ȝe `runnen wel [ranne wele, doynge werkis of feith Q.] ; who lettide ȝou for [Om. SX.] to not obeische [obeyen X.] to treuthe [the treuthe S.] ? [verse 8] To no man consente ȝe [ȝe, that draweth ȝou fro Crist Q.] ; for|soth this persuacioun [exciting V.] , `or softe mouynge [Om. OX. or counceling V.] , is not of hym [God Q.] that clepide ȝou. [verse 9] A litil sourdowȝ corumpith [maketh sour V.] al the gobet. [verse 10] I truste of ȝou in the Lord, that ȝe schulen vndirstonde noon othir thing [thing, bot that I haue tauȝte Q.] . Forsothe he that disturblith [disturbith SX. dis|troubleth VW.] ȝou, schal bere dom [the dome Q.] , who euere he is. [verse 11] Forsothe, britheren, if I preche ȝit circumcisioun [circumcisioun, as bacbiters seyn Q.] , what ȝit suffre I persecucioun? therfore the [Om. [verse 14] Forsoth [For V.] al the lawe is ful|fillid [fillid V.] in o word, Thou schalt loue thi neiȝbore as thi silf. [verse 15] For [That V.] if ȝe biten to gidere, and eten, se ȝe, lest ȝe be waastid fro [Om. N.] a twynne [a twynny NV.] , `or ech fro othir [Om. OX.] . [verse 16] For|soth I seie in Crist, wandre ȝe [Om. V.] in spirit, and ȝe schulen not perfoorme the desyris of fleisch [the flesche OQ.] . [verse 17] For the fleisch coueitith aȝen the spirit, sothli the spirit aȝens the fleisch; forsothe [for V.] thes ben aduersaries to hem silf to gidere, that ȝe do not tho thingis, what euere thingis [Om. [verse 22] Forsothe the fruyt of the spirit is charite, ioye, pees, pacience, be|nygnyte, `or good will [Om. OX.] , goodnesse, long [verse 23] abydynge, myldenesse, feith, temperaunce, contynence, chastite; aȝens such thingis the lawe is not. [verse 24] Forsoth thei that ben of Crist, han crucified her fleisch with vices and concupiscencis [concupiscens O. Om. Q.] , or [Om. Q.] coueitisis. [verse 25] If we lyuen by spirit, `by spirit and [and by spirit GQ. bi spirit MP.] walke we; [verse 26] be we not maad coueitous of veyn glorie, to gidere stiringe to wraththe [wijn P.] , hauynge enuye to gidere.
