[verse 1] And the Lord spak to Moyses, seiynge, [verse 2] The first moneth, the first day of the moneth, thow shalt rere the tabernacle of witnessyng. [verse 3] And thow shalt putte in it the arke, and thow shalt leue before it the veile. [verse 4] And the meetbord browȝt forth thow shalt putte vpon it, that with riȝt ben comaundid. The candelstyk shal [verse 5] stonde with his lanterns, and the goldun auter, in whiche shal be brent the encense before the arke of witnessyng. The tente in the entre of the tabernacle thow shal [verse 6] sett; and beforn it the auter of alle brent [verse 7] sacrifices [sacrifice BDEFH.] , the lauatorie betwix the auter and the tabernacle, which thow shalt ful|fille with water. [verse 8] And thow shalt enuy|roun the porche with tentis into the com|yng yn of it. [verse 9] And the oyle of an oyntyng takun thow shalt anoynte the tabernacle,

with his vessels, that thei ben halowid; [verse 10] the auter of al brent sacrifice, and al the [verse 11] vessels of it; the lauatorye with his foot. Al with the oyle of an oynting thow shalt sacre, that thei ben holi of halowes. [verse 12] And thow shalt sett Aaron and the sones of hym at the dore of the tabernacle of wit|nessyng; [verse 13] and, wasshen [hem wasshen E.] with water, thow shalt clothe with holi clothes, that thei mynystre to me, and the anoyntyng of hem profit into euerlastynge presthod. [verse 14] And Moyses dide alle thinges that the Lord comaundid [had comaundid BDEFH sec. m.] . [verse 15] Thanne the first mo|neth of the secounde ȝeer, the first day of the moneth, the tabernacle was sett. [verse 16] And Moyses areryde it, and sette the ta|bles, and the footstakis, and the berynge staues, and he sette the pilers. [verse 17] And he strauȝte the roofe vpon the tabernacle, the couertour in sett aboue, as the Lord comaundide. [verse 18] And he putte the witness|yng in the arke with ynne, berynge staues vnder sett, and Goddis answerynge place ther aboue. [verse 19] And whanne he hadde brouȝt yn the arke into the tabernacle, he hong|ide beforn it the veyle, that he fulfille the heest of the Lord. [verse 20] And he putte the meetbord in the tabernacle of witnessyng, at the north coost, with outen the veyle, [verse 21] ordeynd before the looues of proposicioun, as the Lord comaundide to Moyses. [verse 22] And he putte the candestik in the tabernacle of witnessyng, `forn aȝens [fro the coost of E pr. m.] the meetbord, [verse 23] in the sowth parti, sett bi ordre the lan|terns, after the heest of the Lord. [verse 24] And he putte the goldun auter vnder the roofe [verse 25] of witnessyng, aȝens the veile, and he brent vpon it encense [the encense E.] of swete smellynge spices, as the Lord comaundide to Moyses. [verse 26] And he putte the tente in the entre of [verse 27] the tabernacle, and the auter of alle brent sacrifices [sacrifice BDEFH.] in the vestiarie of witnessyng,

offrynge in it al brent sacrifice, and sacri|fices, as the Lord hadde [Om. E pr. m.] comaundide. [verse 28] The lauatorie forsothe he sette betwix the tabernacle of witnessyng and the auter, fulfillynge it with water. [verse 29] And Moyses and Aaron and the sones of hym wasshen her [verse 30] hoondes and feet, whanne thei ȝeden in the roof of the couenaunt of pees, and `neiȝe ȝeden [neyȝtiden BEH. neyȝeden DF.] to the auter, as the Lord hadde [Om. E pr. m.] comaundide to Moyses. [verse 31] And he reride the porche, bi enuyroun of the ta|bernacle and of the auter, a tent lad in the entre of it. After that alle thingis [verse 32] ben fulfillid, a clowd couerde the taber|nacle of witnessyng, and the glorie of the [verse 33] Lord fulfillide it; ne Moyses myȝte goo in the roofe of the couenaunt of pees, the clowd couerynge alle thinges, and the maieste of the Lord liȝtnynge, for alle thingis the clowd hadde [Om. E pr. m.] couerede. [verse 34] And if eny tyme the clowd lafte the taber|nacle, the sones of Yrael ȝeden forth bi [verse 35] her companyes; if it hongide [hong E pr. m.] there aboue, thei dwelten in the same place; [verse 36] the clowd forsothe of the Lord lenyde in [by E pr. m.] day to the tabernacle, and fier in the nyȝt, and the puple of Yrael seynge, bi alle her dwellyngis.
