[verse 1] Aftirward Jhesu eft [eftsoone A pr. m. GMNPQSTWXY. Om. V.] schewide him to his disciplis, at the see of Tyberias [Tyberiadis A pr. m. GMNPQSTWXY.] . Sothli he schewide [schewed him G sec. m.] thus. [verse 2] Ther weren to gidere Symount Petre, and Thomas, that is seid [Om. G pr. m. Y.] Didymus, and Nathanael, that was of the [Om. M.] Cane of Galilee, and the sones of Zebedee, and tweye [two MPXY.] othere of his disciplis. [verse 3] Sy|mount Petre seith to hem, I go for [Om. SX.] to fysche. Thei seyn to him, And we comen with thee. And thei ȝeden [wenten AGMNPQSTWXY.] out, and stiȝ|eden in to a boot. And in that niȝt [thing K.] thei token nothing. [verse 4] Forsoth the morwe maad, Jhesu stood in the brynke; nethelees the [Om. G pr. m. NTXY.] disciplis knewen not, for it was [is AGMNPQSTVWXY.] Jhesu. [verse 5] Therfore Jhesu seith to hem, Children [Childer SY.] , wher [whether X.] ȝe han ony soupynge thing? [verse 6] Thei answeriden [answerden to him N.] , Nay. He seide to hem, Send ȝe the nett in to the riȝt|half of the rowyng, and ȝe schulen fynde. Therfore thei senten the nett, and [answerden to him N.] now thei myȝten not drawe it, for multitude of fyschis. [verse 11] Symount Petre stiȝede vp, and drowȝ the nett in to the lond, ful of grete fischis, an hundrid fyfti and thre; and whanne thei weren so greete [many A pr. m. G pr. m. MNPQSTXY.] , the nett is not brokun. [verse 12] Jhesu seith to hem, Come ȝe, `ete ȝe [etith X.] . And no man of [Om. AGMNPQSTVWXY.] he seith to him, Ȝhe, Lord, thou wost for I loue thee. [verse 17] He seith to him, Feede thou my lambren. He seith to him the thridde tyme, Symount of John, louest thou me? Petre is sori [sorie, or heuy A pr. m. GMNPQSTWY.] , for he seith [seide X.] to him the thridde tyme, Louest thou me, and he seith to him, Lord, thou wost alle thingis; thou wost for I loue thee. [verse 18] Treuli, treuli, I seie to thee, whanne thou were ȝongere, thou girdedist [girdist MNPQWY. girtest SX.] thee, and wandrid|est where [whereuere SX.] thou woldist; sothli whanne thou schalt wexe eldere, thou schalt holde forth thin hondis, and anothir schal girde thee, and leede thee whidir thou wolt not. [verse 22] Jhesu seith to him, So I wole him dwelle [to dwelle SX.] til [til that G sec. m. MPSW.] I come, what to thee? sue thou me. [verse 23] Therfore this word wente out among britheren, for [that O.] thilke [that X.] disciple deyeth not. And Jhesu seide not to [of A.] him, for he deieth not, but, So I wole him dwelle [to dwelle SX.] til [til that G sec. m. MPQSW.] I come, what to thee? [verse 24] This is thilke [that X.] disciple, that berith witnessing of thes thingis, and wroot thes thingis; and we witen, for his witnessing is trewe.
