[verse 1] And Jhesus risynge vp fro thennis, cam in to the endis [coostis V.] of Jude ouer [biȝonde UV.] Jordan; and eftsoones [efte UV.] the cumpanyes [company OX.] `of peple [Om. UV.] camen [cam X.] `to gidere [Om. UV.] to him, and as he was wont, eftsoone [efte UV.] he tauȝte hem. [verse 2] And Pharisees `comynge nyȝ [neiȝynge UV.] , axiden him [him, temptynge hym UV.] , If [Whether U.] it be [is V.] leefful to a man for [Om. OQSTUVX.] to leeue [forsake UV.] , `or forsake [Om. AOUX. or to forsake N.] , his wyf? `temptinge him [Om. UV.] . [verse 3] And he answeringe seith [seide UV.] to hem, What co|maundide Moyses to ȝou? [verse 4] The [Om. And so now thei ben not tweyne [two MPXY.] , but o fleisch.
