CAP. IX.
[verse 1] And aftir sixe dayes Jhesus took Petre, and [Om. U.] James, and John, and ledith [ledde NQX. he ledith UV.] hem by hem selue aloone [aloone asides half UV.] in to an hiȝ [Om. V pr. m.] hil; and he is transfigurid byfore hem. [verse 2] And his clothis ben maad schynynge and white ful moche as [like O.] snow, and [Om. UV.] which [what QUVXY.] maner clothis [Om. MTPY pr. m.] a fullere, `or walkere of cloth [Om. AMOPQTW sec. m. XY pr. m. either touker UV.] , may not make white on erthe. [verse 3] And Helye with Moyses apperide to hem, and thei weren spekynge with Jhesu. [verse 4] And Petre answeringe seith [seide UV.] to Jhesu, Mais|tir, it is good vs for [Om. SUVX.] to be here; make [and make UV.] we here thre tabernaclis, oon to thee, oon [and oen X.] to Moyses, and oon to Helye. [verse 5] Sothli he wiste not what he schulde seie; forsothe [for UV.] thei weren agast [aferd UV.] by drede. [verse 6] And `ther is maad [Om. UV.] a cloude [cloude was maad UV.] schadewinge [bischadowynge N.] hem; and a voys cam of [Om. UV.] the cloude, seyinge, This is my mooste deereworthe sone, heere ȝe him. [verse 7] And anon thei biholdinge aboute, syȝe no more any man, no [Om. O.] but Jhesus oonly with hem. [verse 8] And hem [thei U. he V.] comynge down fro the hil, he comaundide hem [to hem UV.] , that thei schulde not telle to any man tho thingis that [whiche UV.] thei hadde seyn, no [not N.] but whanne mannis sone hath risun [rise aȝen UV.] fro `deede spiritis [deeth O. deed men UV. deade X.] . [verse 9] And thei heelden [heelden togidere O.] the word at [anentis UV.] hem silf, sekynge what [what thei U.] schulde be, whanne he hath [schal haue Q sec. m.] risun [rise aȝen UV.] fro deede [deth OQX. deed men V.] . [verse 10] And thei axiden him, seyinge [and seiden UV.] , What [fro UV.]
