[verse 1] And the word of the Lord is maad to [verse 2] me, seiynge, Sone of man, put thi face to the hillis of Israel; and thou shalt pro|phecie [verse 3] to hem, and thou shalt seye, Hillis of Israel, here ȝe the word of the Lord God. Thes thingis seith the Lord God to mounteyns, and reisyngis of hillis, to rochis, and valeys, Loo! I shal lede to on ȝou a swerd, and I shal scatere ȝour heiȝe thingis. [verse 4] And I shal distruye ȝour auters, and ȝour symulacrys shulen be brokyn to gidre; and Y shal cast doun ȝour slayn men before ȝour ydolis. [verse 5] And Y shal ȝeue the deed careyns of the sones of Israel before the face of ȝour symulacris, and Y shal scatere ȝoure boonus about ȝoure autres, in alle ȝour dwellyngis. [verse 6] Cytees shulen be deseert, and heiȝe thingis shu|len be distruyid, and shulen be dispar|plid; and ȝour auters shulen perishe, and shulen be brokyn togidre. And ȝoure ydolis shulen ceese, and ȝour wode maumentis shulen be troden togidre, and ȝour werkis shulen be don a wei. [verse 7] And a slayn man shal falle doun in the mydil of ȝou; and ȝe shulen wite, for Y am Lord. [verse 8] And Y shal leeue in ȝou hem that han fledde the swerd in heithen men, `whanne I schal scatere ȝou in to londis. [verse 9] And ȝoure dely|uered men schulen bethenke of me in hethen men [Om. A.] , to whom thei ben lad cai|tifs;

for Y haue defoulide the herte of hem doynge fornycacioun, and goynge awey fro me, and the eyen of hem do|ynge fornicacioun after her ydolis. And thei shulen displese to hem self vp on the yuel thingis, whiche thei diden in alle her abomynaciouns. [verse 10] And thei shu|len wite, for Y the Lord spake not veynli, that Y shulde doo to hem this yuel thing. [verse 11] Thes thingis seith the Lord God, Smyte thin hoond, and hurtle to gidre thi foot, and sey, Allas! to alle abomynaciouns of yuel thingis of the hows of Israel, that ben to fallynge bi swerd, hungre, and pestilence. [verse 12] Forsothe he that is nyȝ, shal falle bi swerd. And he that shal be laft and be [Om. GH.] bisegid, shal die bi hungre. And Y shal fulfille [fulle G. fille H.] myn indignacioun in hem. [verse 13] And ȝe shulen wite, for Y the Lord, whanne ȝour slayn men shulen be in the mydil of ȝour ydolis, in the cumpas of ȝour au|ters, in eche heiȝ litle hil, and in alle heiȝthis of mounteyns, and vnder eche tree ful of wode, or bouwis, and vndir eche ook ful of bouwis, that is to seye, a place where thei brenten encensis swete sauerynge to alle her ydolis. [verse 14] And I shal holde forth myn hoond vpon hem, and Y shal make the loond of hem desolat, and destitute, or forsakyn, fro deseert Deblatha, in alle the dwellingis of hem; and thei shulen wite, for I a [the G pr. m. H.] Lord.
